Sharnaiah, Com.Narayanaswamy and others.  Met Sri. Dubey GM (D) to discuss the progress of the tenders in BGTD in the conference hall 6th floor CTO Complex.  The Adminstrative side was represented by GM (D), Sr. GM (Finance),  GM(Admn), Sr. GM (CFA-East), DGM(CC), Addl GM (ES), Addl GM (CM) Addl GM (Sales & Mktg) and others.

The Associations last time met Sri. Dubey GM(D) on 22-01-2013 to discuss the status of the tenders it was promised to finalize all the tenders within two months.  But so far no progress is made in finalizing any of the tenders except an open tender for short time for the development of OFC.  On contrary certain  stringent conditions put by the GM(D) is forced to cancel the mtce tenders as nobody is coming forward / eligible to bid.   The association has informed the administration in clear terms    that if there is no arrangements is made before 31-03-2013, the mtce of OFC and copper cable  mtce of AM (East) area through  ty. advance will be stopped.

Members of SNEA BGTD Com Ramesh Dist secty,  com P.A. Virupakshaiah Dist President, Com M H Gombi  Sr com,  com S. Ganeshan  and com Huliraj met Shri N K Gupta Director CFA and Shri Anil Jain Director HR (Designate) on 02-03-2013 at the chamber of  PGM BGTD and discussed various issues related to development of BGTD.

1 Implementation of ERP : Association has requested DIR  CFA to postpone the ERP implementation till 1st week of April as it affects the targets during March and blocking of all the payments due to ERP will affect development work in  BGTD .He assured us that he will look in to the matter.

2 Finalising Tender:  SNEA  has expressed serious concern for not finalising any tender for the last  six months in BGTD particularly OFC Mtce Tender and copper cable Mtce tender for AM (East) area. Association has requested Dir CFA to fix responsibility, shri  Anil Jain responded positively  he assured us that he will speak to the GM concerned.

3 Supply  of Stores :Dir CFA assured that all the important stores like  Clip Inst ,Modems and copper cable  will be available sufficiently . Association requested him to ensure that the supply chain should be continuous  other wise it affect the working condition in the field.

4 Long stay transfers :Association explained the difficulties faced by our members because of long stay transfers  and  how it affects the development of BGTD and  we have further explained to him that Karnataka Circle  is maintaining a percentage of working strength  against  sanctioned strength for all the SSA s . where as for BGTD the Circle office strength is clubbed with BGTD working strength  and working strength is maintained similar to Mysore ,Mangalore and Hubli etc,where as more than 200 executives (SDE+JTO) are working in Circle office and this strength is no way contributing to BGTD development  we have requested Shri Anil Jain to intervene and separate the Circle office strength from BGTD and give us the percentage  better than other SSA s as Broad Band wkg is almost 50% of land line.Shri Anil Jain appreciated our concern and promised to  take corrective measures. 

The concern of SNEA is appreciated by both Dir CFA and shri Anil Jain.

MEETING WITH GM(D) 

Dist. President  com. Ranganayakulu,  district secretary  Com. Ramesh, Circle Secretary Com. S B Nagavi,  Sr. Com. M H Gombi,  CWC member Com. Javali and  other district office bearers and  branch secretaries of  SNEA BGTD met  Sri. Dubey  GM(D) regarding  non finalisation of  tenders for  copper cable ( East Area),  OFC mtce tender and  other important tenders.   Association  has  interacted  with GM (D)  and  strongly  argued  that delay in  finalisation of  tenders  leads to  loss of  revenue in BGTD.    Many members  have expressed  concern  in carrying out day to day mtce work on  ty.advance basis.   It has been informed to GM (D) that  in case  the tender is not finalised  within the  committed period of  2 to 2.5 months  the work on ty advance will be  stopped.  GM (D) has agreed to our concern  and  assured that  all the tenders will be cleared without  any further delay. 

Annual general body meeting of  SNEA  CTO branch,  Jayanagar branch and  NTB branch held on 7-12-2012,  14-12-2012 and  4-1-2013 respectively.
